STLP
Our STLP team at SWMS is composed of students who like using technology to create products such as videos, keynotes, and websites. As I've said before, we have had a very successful year so far!
News Shows
Creating news shows is just one of the things we do in STLP. These shows keep our school informed, as well as entertaining the students who watch them. We try to make one every week, where we recognize various sports teams, students, and include upcoming events. You can view one of our shows by clicking the image to the left, and find more by clicking this link. I hope you enjoy them!
The News Show Process
Here's how we make a news show, from coming up with ideas to the finished product. Normally, we'll have three to four days to do this.
1. Come up with ideas
2. Plan out what to do, and who's going to do what
3. Go film everything that needs to be filmed
4. Import videos into iMovie
5. Edit it, add transitions, titles, etc.
6. Ask for feedback, and make any necessary changes
7. Finished!

SWMS STLP gets State recognition
Apart from creating news shows, we also have been working on projects for State. This is where we choose a category we'd like to enter, and work on something to send in and compete with.
After our projects got accepted, we would then go to State. We went a few months ago, where we had students competing in live competitions (such as robotics, presenter service, and showcase), and others who won awards for the videos, etc., that they made. Our school won more awards than any other school in our area! Click the
